Detection Condition
WARNING:

- Resistance other than 1.76-5.06 ohms detected in driver-side air bag
module (inflator
No.1) circuit
- Wiring harness between driver-side air bag module (inflator No.1) and
SAS control module has
malfunction
Possible Causes
- Clock spring connector malfunction
- Clock spring malfunction
- Open or short circuit in the wiring harness between the clock spring and
SAS control module
- Driver-side air bag module (inflator No.1) malfunction
- SAS control module malfunction

PURGE SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
CAUTION:
Removing the fresh-air duct from the air cleaner case may damage the
fresh-air duct.
Always remove the fresh-air duct and the air cleaner case as a single unit.

The ignition must be switched ON to use
the wipers.
WARNING
Use only windscreen washer fl uid or
plain water in the reservoir:
Using radiator antifreeze as washer
fl uid is dangerous. If sprayed on the
windscreen, it will dirty the windscreen,
affect your visibility, and could result in
